Men’s Support Group in Simi, Ca
Where men of all walks of life can come together to freely express themselves
Men’s Support Group
As men we sometimes feel as though we are only allowed to feel a couple different feelings and the rest must be suppressed. Crying is only allowed in certain situations of a man’s life. Being open, vulnerable, and emotional is seen as weakness. Being stoic, tough, distant, and logical are what we are told makes a man.
Living this way can be exhausting. You may start to feel there’s something wrong with you. You may find it difficult to connect with others around you. You may feel like you are constantly fighting an internal battle trying to keep your emotions at bay. Do we have to live this way? As men, are we not also humans who are trying to make it through life and live our genuine selves?
If you are a man (18+) who struggles with finding emotional support, feeling that it might be seen as weak, unmanly, or different, this group is for you.
In this men’s group we will explore masculinity, what it means, where it comes from, and the views each member shares. We will process feelings that are often time shunned by society at large in a safe area. We will cultivate a space that is secure, safe, non-judgemental, and accepting, where men of all walks of life can come together to freely express themselves and support other men emotionally.

Oriyan Maor, AMFT
I am passionate in supporting my clients to relearn harmful messages and become the person they have always wanted to be. I enjoy supporting clients who may initially struggle to express or connect with emotion and helping them grow to be more in tune with themselves and more connected to others.

Josh Duke, AMFT
I want to ensure that you know that you are not alone and we together will work towards your goals. We are here to support you in deciding if group therapy is the right path for you. We offer a free, no pressure meeting. It is our goal that at the end of the group screening, you will be able to decide if this is the right group for you. You will speak with Dr. John Danial, clinical director and group coordinator at SPG. During the group screening, Dr. Danial or the group therapy leader will get to know you a bit and share about the group and our group therapy program. He will answer any questions you may have and explore your goals for the group. Reach out today for a free no obligation screening at (805) 842-1994 Ext 3 or [email protected]CHILD
