Kaera Spencer-Peterson is one of the most exceptional people to ever be part of our family. She began as our nanny and has become someone we trust deeply and value immensely.
Kaera is warm, grounded, and remarkably perceptive. She has a rare ability to read children and family dynamics with precision and empathy. We have three children, ages 9–14, each with very different personalities, academic paths, and social needs—including ADHD, anxiety, and OCD. Kaera met each of them exactly where they were.
With our son who has ADHD, she struck a unique balance—calm, direct, and consistent—leading to meaningful behavioral improvements and stronger self-awareness. With each child, she built a genuine relationship based on trust. The most telling sign: all three of our children confide in her. That simply doesn’t happen by accident.
Kaera brings emotional intelligence, structure, and authenticity in a way that elevates the entire family system. She is a stabilizing force and a trusted guide. Anyone who has the opportunity to work with her will be incredibly fortunate.

I highly recommend this practice as a trusted and thoughtful mental health group.
As a fellow provider, I’ve collaborated with their team through mutual referrals and have been consistently impressed by the strong sense of community and care they cultivate.
They offer support for children, adolescents, and families, and their clinical work goes beyond a single modality. Alongside CBT and DBT, they integrate somatic, and psychodynamic approaches, allowing for depth, flexibility, and truly individualized care.
I was especially struck by the warmth and integrity of the clinical leadership. It’s clear that there is genuine care for both clients and the clinicians who support them. This is a practice that leads with values, professionalism, and heart.

I cannot recommend Kaidi enough. She is a 10/10 therapist, and holds genuine passion for what she does. Anyone who has the opportunity to work with her is in such good hands, and will have a therapist who cares deeply and wholeheartedly.

Andrea is honestly one of the most thoughtful, patient, unbiased and endearing therapists that I've come across in a while. She has helped me discover new desires for my life and really confront those insecurities that have stunted my mental growth over the years.

I brought my daughter for therapy at Simi Psycological Group and it was such a great experience. The therapist was so amazing with her and made her feel so safe and comfortable. The space was thoughtfully designed to make you feel at home. I highly recommend.

Simi psychological has the most professional and welcoming staff. Everyone was so easy to work with and made me feel very comfortable. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and they take pride in their practice. The minute I arrived, I was greeted by Dr.Novak who made sure I got everything I needed before we began working together. Would highly recommend Simi Psychological!

The Simi Valley Family YMCA and Simi Psychological Group partnered up to offer a parenting workshop for the community last month and it was a big success! The team at Simi Psychological are very professional, genuine, and supportive. The community of Simi Valley is lucky to have them. They are easy to work with and their partnership is valuable. I look forward to future workshops put on by the two organizations.

The therapists at Simi Psychological Group are an amazing team. You can really tell that all the therapists there care about helping others become the best versions of themselves. The space is well decorated and far from clinical, which is the last thing I'd want to feel like when going through a vulnerable therapy session. Highly recommend anyone on the team here.
