Interpersonal Process Group in Simi Valley, Ca
Where you learn to let go of your critical mind and see the truth through group process
Interpersonal Process Group
This group allows for growth and healing in a way that produces quicker, and sometimes more impactful change than in individual therapy. The reason for this is that the group itself creates an environment for relationship patterns to emerge and for members to start to better understand their own selves in the context of a group. This allows members to feel seen, validated, and supported in an authentic way, which then leads to more confidence living as your authentic self in the world.
A core component of a process group like this one is that things will be brought up in the present time. Instead of only focusing on what has happened in the past or worries about the future, the main focus of a process group is to focus on the “here and now.” When you can receive support, validation, and feedback on what you are experiencing in the moment, you can really begin to notice how you show up with others.
Rather than live with a critical assumption of how others see you, you can begin to trust that most of that judgment isn’t actually happening from others. Instead, you get to experience being seen for who you truly are. This group is intentionally kept small with a maximum of 9 members and two group leaders. The group is also “closed” which means that there will not be members coming in and out of the group. This setup allows for group members to grow more comfortable with one another and helps create a safe space for growth.

I’m interested. What’s next?
We are here to support you in deciding if group therapy is the right path for you. We offer a free, no pressure meeting. It is our goal that at the end of the group screening, you will be able to decide if this is the right group for you. You will speak with Dr. John Danial, clinical director and group coordinator at SPG.
During the group screening, Dr. Danial or the group therapy leader will get to know you a bit and share about the group and our group therapy program. He will answer any questions you may have and explore your goals for the group. Reach out today for a free no obligation screening at (805) 842-1994 Ext 3 or drdanial@simipsychologicalgroup.com.
