Hi,
I’m Dr. Stephanie Alcaraz
Psy.D. — Registered Psychological Associate #94029627
You may be feeling stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward. Even when you deeply want change, it can be difficult to know where to begin or how to find strategies that truly help. Therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand yourself, process difficult experiences, and develop tools to navigate life with greater confidence and clarity.
I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard. I view therapy as a collaborative process and feel honored to walk alongside clients as they work toward healing, growth, and meaningful change. My approach is grounded in a person-centered perspective while approaches and interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.

IN THERAPY
In therapy, my priority is building a strong therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, authenticity, and empathy. I aim to provide a calming and supportive space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences without judgment.
My goal is to help clients feel empowered, gain deeper self-understanding, and develop practical tools that support long-term emotional well-being.
I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from children to elderly adults. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, stress, and other emotional challenges that can make daily life feel overwhelming.
Education and Background
I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University, where my training focused heavily on evidence-based interventions. Prior to my doctoral training, I worked closely with children with disabilities, including autism and Down syndrome, and their families.
These experiences continue to inform my compassionate, individualized, and collaborative approach to therapy.
