Hi,

I believe that through self-compassion, inspiration and hope it is possible for anyone to reach their deepest and truest goals.

My focus is working with children, adolescents, and families that struggle with Anxiety, ADHD, Depression and relationship issues. I also have a strong passion for working with adults with a history of trauma. Healing, self-love and acceptance and growing through transformation, are all within reach. Learning to truly love and connect with one’s self and others is a true gift and it is my honor to be on this journey with you.

In the room, I am compassionate, encouraging and non-judgemental. I am deeply passionate about empowering those that I work with to face challenges in a safe supportive space. I strive to provide clients with the confidence that they are not alone and that their values matter and are important. I believe we can all grow through adversity and not just survive…but thrive. When working with families, I foster an environment that strengthens the relationships and communication with one another. My approach is encouraging, as I help you find meaning through your experiences. I truly believe that there is hope, despite your circumstances, and I will support you in overcoming any obstacles that you are struggling with. It is my mission to help you recognize the resilience within yourself to grow through life’s transitions.

My Therapy Specialties Include:

In Therapy

I use an integrative approach influenced by a cognitive behavioral framework, developmental, and attachment based theories. Very importantly I incorporate a family systems model that speaks to the importance of understanding the bigger picture and when working with children and teens including the family in the process. I find that integrating multiple theoretical bases allows me to provide my clients with an individualized support plan to ensure their growth in the process. I am able to provide therapy in Spanish, as well.

Education and Background

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from San Diego State University and furthered my education to receive my Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University-California School of Professional Psychology. I completed a pre-doctoral internship at an intensive outpatient facility for substance use disorders in Los Angeles.

My professional experience includes working with children, teenagers, and families with Autism, ADHD, oppositional behaviors, social skills, and parenting. I also have ample experience with with children and adult survivors of intimate partner violence. I have been honored as a guest and keynote speaker at various international conferences, media, television appearances and educational events related to IPV and have taught at multiple universities on overcoming trauma and adversity.
