Therapist in Simi Valley
Hi, I’m Natalia Gomez
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist AMFT #156022, and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor APCC #19827
Life can often feel uncomfortably overwhelming, whether from the pressures of daily demands, the strain of relationships, or the weight of expectations. You may have tried to manage on your own, only to find yourself stuck in the same cycles. Perhaps you are a parent balancing your own challenges while trying to support your child, a person longing to reconnect with yourself and with others, or a couple struggling to find closeness again. Hardships, big or small, are part of the human experience, but you do not have to face them alone.
As your therapist, my role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and openness. Together, we will explore what is beneath the surface, process emotional pain, strengthen your relationships, and help you feel better equipped to navigate life’s challenges. Therapy is a space where you can feel truly heard and accepted, while also realigning with the parts of yourself needed for wholeness. I aim to support you in moving from disconnection and doubt toward clarity, resilience, and hope.
I am passionate about supporting children and teens, individuals, couples, and families who are navigating depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, relational disconnection, and trauma. My approach is grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing. Together, we will work toward creating meaning from hardship, building practical tools for resilience, and nurturing the relationships that matter most.
My Therapy Specialties Include:
Teen Therapy
Trauma Processing
Couples Therapy

In Therapy
You can expect my style to be warm, collaborative, and relational. I draw from humanistic and client-centered practices, which means your strengths, experiences, and perspectives will guide our work together. I value a holistic lens, honoring how your mind, body, and spirit come together to support well-being. I bring a multicultural perspective to therapy, where your values and lived experiences will always be respected and will be the center of helping you explore your individual goals in therapy.
I strive to create a safe and supportive space where emotions and relationships can be better understood. With children and teens, I recognize how important their social world is and how big and confusing emotions can feel. I help them build confidence, autonomy, and a stronger sense of self using creative and interactive approaches. I also believe in involving the family to foster healthier interactions, stronger communication, and deeper connections at home.
In my work with couples, I help partners identify and move beyond negative cycles that limit closeness, creating opportunities for renewed trust, intimacy, and meaning in their relationship. I want you and the relationships you value to flourish. I am here to support you in feeling and doing your best, no matter the concern.
Education and Background
I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Channel
Islands. During my time there, I briefly interned at a residential treatment facility that assisted adults with mental health struggles in transitioning to independent living. There, I found my alignment with client-centered care and began my holistic philosophy on needing balanced wholeness within oneself to begin inner healing.
I then received my master’s degree in Counseling, with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy, from California State University, Fullerton. During my time there, I received clinical training at Orange Coast College’s student health center, where I supported older adolescents and adults navigate stress, anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviors, life transitions, grief, and trauma. I was privileged enough to co-facilitate group sessions there, centered on finding inner empowerment while struggling with body image issues.
In this space, I found my passion for helping individuals discover who they are, navigate relational issues, and process and heal from trauma. I look forward to extending my support to you and your family.
