Hi, I’m Katie Delaplane
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist AMFT#150409
Are you experiencing persistent sadness that impacts your daily functioning? Has anxiety created challenges in your relationships with family and loved ones? Are you finding communication difficulties affecting your personal connections? Are you and your partner having difficulties with communication? Taking the first step toward meaningful change can often feel overwhelming, but together, you and I can work together to create a change that will allow you to gain new insights and a better awareness so that you can live as your most authentic self.
I am passionate about providing support to individuals who have faced depression, anxiety, trauma, or significant life transitions. I enjoy empowering families and individuals to work through hard times and establish better communication. As a mom myself, I understand the challenges that parenting can bring. My approach with families emphasizes fostering deeper connections among loved ones. I understand that opening up to someone can be a daunting process, and I would be honored to accompany you or your family on this journey. My objective is to establish a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel heard and understood, allowing them to share their stories and grow within a supportive space.
In the room, I meet my clients where they are. I offer a non-judmental approach that allow clients to feel safe in opening up and sharing their struggles. By using a strengths-based approach, I help my clients notice their positive qualities they already possess and use this to help build confidence in navigating areas in their life where they may be feeling uncomfortable. By slowing down, using humor, and ultimately developing a real connection with my clients, I help them start to relate more authentically to themselves, and build deeper, more authentic relationships with others.
My Therapy Specialties Include:
Child/Teen Therapy
Anxiety Therapy

In Therapy
In the therapy room, I cultivate a safe and supportive environment through my presence and non-judgmental approach. My primary goal is to ensure that clients feel heard, accepted, and understood. I strive to be supportive and encourage clients to reflect on their own feelings and authenticity. I am particularly dedicated to assisting children and adolescents in developing effective ways to express themselves with their caregivers, loved ones and friends. I create a comfortable space that allows clients to explore new ways of expressing themselves.
Additionally, I am passionate about helping couples identify underlying issues within their relationships. I promote open vulnerability by fostering a safe environment where partners can share their fears, insecurities, and desires without fear of judgment. This approach encourages meaningful dialogue and deeper connections.
