Bridgette Sanders, Psy.D.
Therapist in Simi Valley
Hi,
I’m Dr. Bridgette Sanders
Psy.D. — Registered Psychological Associate #94029677
Licensed Clinical Social Worker #LCSW19549
Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor #S579
I believe meaningful change begins by feeling seen, heard, and understood. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, attachment theory, developmental neuroscience, and the transformative power of creativity and play.
Life can feel overwhelming. You may feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or unsure why the same struggles continue to repeat themselves. Perhaps you’ve tried to push through on your own, yet nothing seems to create lasting change. Despite your best efforts, your relationships are not where you want them to be. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child/teen, your marriage, or your family, you want more than symptom relief: you want to understand what’s happening, address the root causes, and move forward with practical strategies, confidence and hope.
Together, we will move at a pace that feels safe, mindfully exploring the experiences, relationships, core beliefs, and patterns that have shaped your struggles. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we will uncover the underlying issues while building solution-focused tools that foster insight, resilience, and lasting growth.
My Specialties Include:
Neurodivergence
Life Transitions
Children, Teen, and Family Issues
IN THERAPY
My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, blending psychodynamic psychotherapy, developmental neuroscience, and expressive therapies to provide care that is solution-focused, compassionate, and person-centered. I specialize in helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate trauma, communication difficulties, anxiety, emotional regulation, attachment concerns, parenting challenges, and life transitions.
As a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, I view play as a powerful language for the lifespan, not just for children. When words fall short, creative approaches open the door to self-expression, deeper insight, and discovering the underlying issues that shape our lives.
In therapy, my goal is to create a space where you feel emotionally safe, respected, and accepted exactly as you are. Every person’s story is unique. Whether we are talking, reflecting, exploring, creating, or engaging in expressive experiences, every intervention is thoughtfully adapted to your developmental needs, strengths, and therapeutic goals. I approach each client with sensitivity, warmth, and respect, creating a space where insight deepens, resilience grows, relationships strengthen, and meaningful transformation unfolds, one thoughtful step at a time.
